Prayer Shawl Ministry  

 

 

It has been one year since the Prayer Shawl Ministry began at Trinity-Boscobel. With your help we have completed 75 shawls. These shawls have been given to members of our church community as well as friends and family members to provide comfort, healing and support. One shawl traveled with a soldier to Iraq.

 

Appropriate materials and a shawl recipient are chosen before the work begins. The shawl is either knitted or crocheted by one of our 24 members who prays for that individual as the work proceeds. If you know of someone who needs a shawl, please contact Karen Strang. On the second Sunday of each month the completed shawls are blessed during our Sunday worship service.

 

During the past year of this ministry we have gained several members. New members are welcome, with

no experience required! We meet on the first Monday of each month at 7 PM in Hankins Hall.
